Families roasting marshmallows at The S'mores Run finish line

The sweetest finish line in Tennessee

Run. Roast. Repeat.

Three Tennessee communities. Three beautiful fall race experiences. One ridiculously good S'mores celebration waiting at the finish line.

The finish line is just the beginning.

Yes, there's a race. But that's not really what makes The S'mores Run The S'mores Run.

Cross the finish line and follow the smell of toasted marshmallows. Fire pits are glowing. Music is playing. Friends and families are celebrating. And then there's the S'mores bar.

We hunt down fun and unusual marshmallow flavors, load the tables with chocolate, candy and everything you need to build your own perfect S'more.

Classic? Go for it. Chocolate overload? Absolutely. Something completely ridiculous? Even better.

Run a little.

Roast a lot.

Stay awhile.

Three races. Three personalities. One sweet finish.

Four runners roasting marshmallows around the fire pit after The S'mores Run Johnson City

Bring the whole crew.

  • Fast runners? Absolutely.
  • Walkers? Come on.
  • Kids? Definitely.
  • Strollers? Yep.
  • Four-legged buddies? Where venue rules allow.

Whether you're chasing a PR or walking every mile with your family, there's a place around the fire for you.

It started with one trail.

In 2016, The S'mores Run began on Johnson City's Tweetsie Trail. The course changed over the years, but the idea never did: create a fall race where the experience after the finish line is every bit as memorable as the miles before it.

Today, each race has its own personality while sharing the same S'mores Run experience.

Where should we roast next?

Johnson City started it. Knoxville joined the fun. Then came Townsend.

We're looking for the next community to join The S'mores Run family — towns, tourism groups, parks, unique venues, running clubs, chambers, breweries, restaurants and local partners who think their community would be the perfect home for our next finish-line fire pit.
